detox shakes

each makes 1 serving


for the berry shake:

1 cup frozen wild berries (blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries)

 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-dairy optional or 1 scoop unsweetened plain or vanilla protein powder)

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed 

1 cup each baby spinach and baby kale 

1/4 ripe avocado 

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

1 to 2 teaspoons raw honey or pure maple syrup , optional

1 cup cold filtered water and ice cubes


for the green shake: 

1/2 banana, ideally frozen

1 cup each baby kale and baby spinach

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1/4 ripe avocado 

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (non-dairy optional or 1 scoop unsweetened plain or vanilla protein powder)

 1 to 2 teaspoons raw honey or pure maple syrup, optional

1 1/2 cups filtered water and ice cubes


Place all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender and puree until smooth. Serve in a tall glass.
